Badjao Seafront Restaurant

Our Puerto Princesa City tour was scheduled in the afternoon, on the last day of our trip.  We were set to depart at 6:00 P.M. via Philippine Airlines to Manila.

We practically had the whole morning to laze around. I woke up late savoring my super comfy bed at Hotel Centro. I didn't even bother to have my breakfast while Papa, Mama and Glene were up early to grab a bite at Expressions Cafe located in the Ground Floor.

After their morning meal they had a photo op at the Pool Side.

 What a beautiful morning!

Papa and Mama decided to go to NCCC Mall while Glene continued with his sleep. We just agreed to meet in the hotel lobby for our City tour.

At around 11:00 A.M. I phoned Badjao Seafront Restaurant for my luncheon reservation. I ordered pork liempo and chopseuy and told them that we will be there in 30 minutes.

We rode a trike to the restaurant and we asked the driver to wait for us since the place is off the beaten track. It was about 15 minutes ride. We paid him 150php all in.

The restaurant is built on top of a mangrove habitat. A long path of wooden planks over the area is the way to the restaurant itself. It features a nice view of the sea with its large open windows. The restaurant is adorned with colorful textiles. My brother and I enjoyed taking pictures while waiting for our food.

Shui Hilot

Our stay with Hotel Centro paid off with plenty of pampering. Courtesy of the new Shui Hilot Healing Spa branch in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.

We experienced physical and spiritual rejuvenation with the 45 minute Luxury Full Body Mineral Scrub on our first day. The Body Scrub used salts from Europe and Palawan. These minerals absorb all the negative energy in your body and at the same time rejuvenate your outer self.

On the second day,  we enjoyed an hour of Signature Full Body Hilot Healing Massage. Hilot is an ancient Filipino healing used to relax stressed muscles and nerves. It was carried out by a duly trained therapist known as Manghihilot.

I also tried their Ventosa Massage Cupping Therapy. It really gave me a soothing feeling all over.

Since we stayed there for four days, we were able to avail of the same services for our third and fourth day. Thanks to Metrodeal for our vouchers!

Here are snaps taken by a certified Massage Addict.

Once the session starts, the problems of the world fade into an oblivious hour of relief and all you can comprehend is not wanting it to end.

Massage is a perfect elixir for good health. It can provide an integration of body and mind, emotional and spiritual balance, bringing with it true relaxation and peace.

Massage prevents hypertension, increases blood circulation, improves recovery from injury, helps you to sleep better and can increase your concentration. It reduces fatigue and gives you more energy to handle stressful situations. Moreover, it alleviates the growing tensions of our modern lifestyles.

Having a massage does more than just relax your body and mind. There are specific physiological and psychological changes which occur, whether massage is utilized as a therapy or simply a mere luxury. Massage not only feels good, but it can cure what ails you.

Now, I can't wait for my next session. Thanks to my weekly home service. I would never trade it for a night out :)

Restaurant 5

Our stay at Discovery Suites, Ortigas  comes with a Complimentary Breakfast at Restaurant 5, located on the 5th Floor.

Breakfast is served from 6:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. We woke up late since we had an incredibly terrific massage a night before by my long time therapist Ate Annie. All of us had a really good long sleep. Hence, we arrived there late at around 9:30 A.M.

There were plenty of guests that morning. We were ushered to the waiting area. After a few minutes, the crew led us to our table.

Restaurant 5 offers a buffet that's not meant to overwhelm, but to guarantee every guest, satisfaction in every dish. It's what they call contemporary comfort cuisine.

Cuisines are Asian and Continental.

The choices were abundant. They have baskets of bread, a few cheese options and the usual Filipino breakfast dishes like tocino and longganisa with garlic rice. They also serve bacon and ham.

At the far end of the restaurant, they have a lot of drink options for you. A cold glass of Watermelon Juice started my morning right.  Papa, Mama and Glene, on the other hand, preferred Pineapple Juice.

Near the fruit juice glass containers are variety of cereals and milk. I wanted a serving but I was too full.

They have an egg station where you can have a selection from sunny side up, scrambled, poached to omelet cooking. A heaping portion of their hashed brown was superb. We also sampled a platter of their fresh fruits, pineapple, watermelon and papaya to name a few.

I also spotted yogurt drinks.

A hearty meal to start our day

Cheers!

Our breakfast was more than fulfilling in taste, quantity and variety. It surely perked up our second day in  Manila.
